As I told you before I do this thing on swap-bot where it is all different types of swaps for all different things. Well look what I got in the mail the other day.
This swap was for yellow yarn and is a mustard color 100% alpaca. It is so very soft and it came from Denmark along with some candy. Then looking through different blogs I come across two more swaps. The autumn dishcloth swap and the christmas around the world. So of course I join those two as well. I think that it will be so much fun. In between joining swaps and looking through blogs I managed to finish my wristwarmers. It was so easy to make, now I can't wait for the cooler weather to come so I can wear them.
I don't know what kind of yarn this is but my sister seems to think it has some Alpaca in it because of the softnest of it. In other knitting I have also been working on a 10x10 square to send to florence knitingale. She has been collecting squares to make blankets for the families of the Utah Miners. You should go check it out and make one or two and send them to her. As boring as it is to make them ,I am determined to finish mine. Here it is HALF done.
I know it is boring looking, but I think I want to stitch in MASS on it so that they know where it came from.I also have been working on my other pair of socks but when I did the heel my sister forgot to tell me to form it so it had to be frogged all the way back to this
. Now it is beginning to look like a heel. Other things that have been going on is I took my son to a feast in Lawrence on Saturday with a friend of mine and I won him a goldfish by throwing a ping-pong ball in to a little bowl. This is a picture of Lucky the fish(which by the way isn't so lucky, he died on Tuesday)
but my son was ok with it. He knew that it might not last.Today was the first day of school. I still am having a hard time believing that my son has started fourth grade. It is like where has the time gone. I also went back to work as I work in a school. I was very excited about that. Well that is it for now. Happy Knitting!!!
