Yesterday the post lady came bearing gifts. Something for everyone but the most for me....hehehe. My sister got 1 swap package that she has been waiting for. Mary received 2 swap packages, one cat treat filled package and a newbie swap package with goodies for her. I received 3 packages. One was my wonderful SP11 package. She sent stitch markers, a couple of post-it packages, some chocolate, a pattern book for lace and some Cherry Tree Hill yarn. The yarn and chocolate was enclosed inside the cutest alligator box and then it was all wrapped up in a purple box. Thanks so much, pal.
Then I received my prize from Tiennie. Socks that Rock in the most gorgeous green color way called Beryl. Mary has already claimed the yarn as her own. Of course my sister, daughter and mother also want the yarn. Go figure.
Then the Dish Rag Tag box got here. I received a great dish cloth from Pat. Thanks Pat. She also included stitch markers that were leaves with little lady bugs on them and a book mark and a great smelling hanging car freshener.
Then today I received my prize from Kathy at Irisheyes for coming in 3rd in her post card contest. That was a fab pink/black polka-dotted bag for sock knitting and a black with pink polka-dotted "knitting knotebook" and some Elvis Pez. Thanks Kathy I love them and will have to hide the bag as my sister is eyeing it.
And to start the week off with a bang, I took Cheryl to see Barry Manilow in concert on Sunday night. The tickets were wicked cheap (10.00) and they were up in the heavens but they were great seats, we could see everything and hear it all and it was a blast. Worth every penny and then some. Cheryl was so excited and I secretly loved the music as well.
Also over the weekend, I whipped up the Angel booties from Julie's blog for a baby shower at work. They were so quick and easy and they were a huge hit. Thanks Julie it is a great pattern.
Back to knitting, need to get the dish cloth in the mail tomorrow hopefully. Now I am just waiting for the mail lady to bring the dyable yarn.................. (going to have to give the mail lady a nice xmas present this year.)
