On Sunday I went to camp for the day. The black flies were terrible though so we went home a little earlier than normal. We stopped and had dinner and afterwards we took the long way home. On our ride down Rte 4 in Nottingham, NH we noticed some large black birds in one of the trees so we stopped to take a closer look. Turkey Buzzards – 3 of them. They were really cool and I was finally able to identify the bird that the kids and I saw in Methuen the morning of my wedding. A Turkey Buzzard. Glad I don’t believe in omens (not much anyway).

Are turkey buzzards bad omens? They're cool birds, anyway. If I ever see what looks like a turkey in a tree, now I will know what it is really.
