Super Bowl Sunday

On Sunday after work we hung around and waited for the Super Bowl to start.  We only wanted to watch the commercials and the half time show.  I enjoy a good Super Bowl party and have attended a couple of great ones at my sister-in-laws but this year with work and the fact that the Pats weren’t in it, Mary and I decided to skip it.   My sister decided that we all needed to see the commercials in 3d so she picked up some glasses.  I think she thought that she could see better with more than one…..but four?  Seriously – how much do you think your forehead could see?  She shared with us later – not that it made any difference – they weren’t great.  Neither was the halftime show – just what I always wanted to see – the Boss’ crotch sliding into the camera….nice… So for me a bust of a Super Bowl – how was yours?

10 Years Ago Today.......

Danielle posted her answers to this meme and, because she said that we are all fascinating, I decided to do it like all the cool kids are doing.  So here goes nothing.

1. Where was I 10 years ago.
I was bring up 6 year old twins, living in Chelsea, working at Bunker Hill Community College and being the president of the Mass Mother’s of Twins, Founding Chapter, and not knowing how to knit.

2. Five things on today’s to-do list.

Work (doing that now)

Spin

Take Jared to store

See my honey

Take cat back to old owner : (

3. Snacks I enjoy.
Cookies, ice cream, peanut butter crackers with milk

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire.
Make sure that my kids could go to what ever college they wanted

Pay off my bills

Buy a new car, new camper and house

Give money to kids so they would be comfortable

Give money to several community colleges to start scholarships for women who do not meet the requirements for financial aid but still want to go to school.

5. Places I have lived.

Massachusetts

, all my life. I am also a  native Mass-hole.

6. Jobs I have had.
Doll maker, laundry worker in a nursing home, paper processor in a tax company, nursery school helper, children’s library worker, (all of the first ones before I was 18) administrative assistant, registrar clerk, drug safety assistant.

Friday Fill-In # 72

1. There is absolutely NO way you can get me to go chunky dunking in the pool at camp!
2. Baby birds remind me that summer is almost here!
3. I cannot live without my wife and children.
4. Intarsia and weaving are two things I'd like to try.
5. When life hands you lemons spit the seeds at someone.
6. Camping with Girl Scouts is my favorite childhood memory.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spinning, tomorrow my plans include cleaning some fleece and working and Sunday, I want to relax!

Friday - Fill-In #71

1. The yarn had an extra secret ingredient; it was angora!

Friday Fill-Ins # 70

This is a first for me.  I found this on Knittymuggins site, followed the link and decided I would like to try this.  So here goes.  If you feel like playing along go here, copy and paste and then link back.  She wants to see what everyone wrote.

1. Two of my favorite ingredients in a drink are vodka and cranberry juice!
2. People often amazes me. (and not always in a good way)
3. You can keep doing that forever, the dog is still going to pee in the house (gilly).
4. Meat, veggies, starch, mix it all together and voila! You have dinner!.
5. If I had a yard with a garden, I would love to grow veggies.
6. Love is best au naturel.
